Roland Bénabou (Princeton University) and Yves Zenou (Stockholm University and IFN)
Over the last decade, developments in both behavioral economics and network theory have offered new models of social interactions. These theories allow to better understand the role of peer influence and externalities in urban segregation and inequality. This Summer School is devoted to the study of the recent advances in these fields. Two leading researchers have been invited. Roland Bénabou will first deliver a 6 hour lecture on his works on the determinants of pro-social behavior. Yves Zenou will then give a 6 hour lecture on his research on social networks and urban segregation. The final day will provide the participants with the opportunity to present their paper to the audience. No more than 8 papers will be selected.
Applications are encouraged from any interested researcher, but priority will be given to doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers or the equivalent.
